I’m so happy to share this beautiful lifestyle session with you all! I have felt so privileged to get to work with this lovely family for maternity, birth story and finally newborn session. It was just amazing to be a part of each of these incredibly important and personal events for this family and they have been nothing but a dream to work with.
I had just a little bit of hesitation in me when Momma wanted to wait and do their newborn session when baby Maddie was a couple of months old. I normally photograph babes in the first 2 weeks of life so I was a bit unsure of how it would go with a bit older baby. Clearly things went very well. I actually loved it. I love love a fresh, tiny, sleepy newborn, but there were things I absolutely loved about this babe at almost 3 months old. She has a bit of chub, was sleepy for the first little bit, then spunked up, opened up those darling eyes, cooed, smiled, and was just all around darling for her session. The light and colors were soft, simple and beautiful, and that nursery… to die for. I love shooting in my studio, always will, and it’s a great option for people that just don’t want to shoot in their home, but there is something a little extra special about photographing your family in your home. It’s so real and so comfortable and it never gets old.
