I have really fallen in love with photographing births.

It has been such an amazing, powerful and meaningful experience for me since I started doing them.  And I didn’t really expect that.  They are a lot of work, difficult to time and schedule, they carry a lot of pressure to make sure I capture these brief but amazing little moments, and can be very long.  But, they have been FAR worth it.  Every time.

This was the birth of baby Violet.  She came out so so quickly, I didn’t even have time to catch a push.  Everyone in the room was in love with her instantly, especially big sister Scarlett.  So many of the photos of her with her new baby sister look posed, and I assure you, there was no posing about it, she was just that in love.  And it was beautiful.  Thank you so much Losee family for letting me be a part of this incredible day.
